Namibia is an expansive land bisected by the tropic of Capricorn where the blazing African sun reaches the limit of its southern declination.

In the west, gnarled black rocks and shifting yellow sands submerged into the restless Atlantic Ocean along 1350 kilometers of fog-shrouded coastline.     Along this coastline the Benguela Current transports

 cold Antarctic waters northwards into the warmer subtropical regions. This nutrient rich current sustains a wealth of marine life and generates a life-giving fog, ensuring the survival of and intriguing variety of desert-adapted fauna and flora.
